Rental for late November 2024 through January 2025

For rent is a 2.5 bedroom, 2.5 bath home (over 1500 SQFT).  The owners will be away from November 20th 2024 to some time in January or February 2025. The house features two large bedrooms upstairs each with an en suite bathroom.  The primary bedroom’s bath has a bathtub/shower and a queen bed along with a large chaise. The second bedroom features a king bed that can be separated into two single beds. Its bathroom has a walk-in shower.  There is a small work area/office in the upstairs hallway and a full-sized washer/dryer.

Downstairs there is an “Arizona Room” which is a passive solar room from which you can view both the community’s main road and mountains in the distance.  Next to this bright room is the living/dining/kitchen open concept room with a large dining table, a living area, a gas fireplace and a full kitchen. On the same floor is a room currently set up as a “man cave” TV room with a very comfy couch and large TV.  This could serve as a third small bedroom through there is no closet.  There is a half bath on the lower floor.

The home has gas heat throughout, a gas stove and solar panels so it is very energy efficient.

This is a good home for able-bodied renters as there are stairs leading up to it from the main pedestrian/village roadway (Jacob Lane), stairs in the home itself between floors, and stairs going up to the parking area.  A carport can be made available for use to the renter, if requested. The weather in Prescott during November through February tends to be cold but sunny.  We occasionally have snow; usually it melts by the end of the day it snows or within a few days.

Prescott is a terrific place to spend the holidays! It has wonderful holiday theme events including Acker Night (a huge music fest downtown) and the annual Dec 31st “Boot Drop” in the town square.

There are walking paths in the Village itself and its ravine and it is a short walk along these paths or nearby roads to Acker Park — a large public natural area with great walking trails and views.

Pet Policy:  The owners have allergies and thus cannot accommodate renters with pets, sorry.

Rental Conditions: The owners prefer that someone who is already in a cohousing community elsewhere or someone interested in cohousing rent this property.  The community does not allow for Airbnb rentals; rentals lasting a month or more are permitted. We ask $2000 per month with $500 due upon reservation of the unit and the remainder due prior to arrival.  If you wish to rent the house for more than a month, we will happily negotiate a total price with you.

Please enjoy some photos of the home below.  If you are interested in more information, please use the “request for information” hotlink above.
